From a distance Ann Arbor is still looking kind of brown and wintry (minus the snow).
But when you look closely, spring is just about to burst.
These pictures are from Friday. On Sunday (when I created this post) the bursting point looked that much closer. By the time this publishes on Monday (I don't like to publish two blog posts in one day), the trees I took pictures of may well be in bloom. But spring comes so very quickly, and I liked capturing the "almost there" part this year.

I love these pictures, and I love looking for signs of spring! It fills me with hope. :)
I would just like to let you know that Salt Lake/Provo is under a winter storm advisory until 6 pm Tuesday. I am not happy. But luckily I am a law student and spend 15 hours a day in the library so I don't have time to look for spring even if it were rudely crushed by snow.
It's a beautiful time of year as Spring approaches. There's just a very different feel from winter. We've already moved past the fragrant orange blossom stage and most of our trees have leafed out. There's still a few species of trees blooming here and there.
Enjoy!
I have decided that the different color seeds actually make this short part of spring look like fall (and you know I love fall)
