Part I: In my own backyard
- The capitol building in Lansing.
- Half marathon in Charlevoix.
- Camping in the Upper Peninsula.
- Road trip with my parents - Chicago, Wisconsin, Upper Peninsula, and Mackinac Island.
- Grand Rapids for a concert, and to see Katherine's new home turf.
Part II: Out beyond the fence.
- Tour of the United Kingdom with Jessica.
- Family reunion in the Colorado Rockies.
- Road trip with Jin (and Stephanie) to Utah to see the family.
- Austin, Texas, and another state capital (capitol? I can never remember) with Jonathan.
- California for data collection, and to view the aftermath of the Station Fire.

That's pretty good! Even though I shared some of those trips with you, I'm not sure I could come up with 10 unique (different) trip locations this past year! I'll have to stop and think about that...
Capital refers to the city. Capitol refers to the building.
Washington DC is the capital of the United States, and the US Capitol sits at one end of the Mall in DC.
