Countdown to 2010, #7

10 Favorite New Recipes of 2009

Sausage, Pepper, and Onions with Polenta
My first crack at polenta. I'm sold.

Spaghetti with Artichoke Hearts and Tomatoes
This is the recipe that finally introduced me to the Pioneer Woman.

Zucchini Alfredo
I made this recipe more than any other main dish recipe this year. Which is to say exactly three times. I don't do many repeats, so repeats mean good.

Chicken Satay
Also known as "chicken lollipops." The mingle theme was Candyland.

Mexican Cole Slaw

I don't really care for cole slaw, but this twist on the salad was a keeper.

Pumpkin Brownies
Chocolate + Pumpkin = Yum.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad
It's really hard to go wrong with bacon and ranch dressing and olives and cheese and pasta. Not very good for you, but good for me is not what I was going for with this one.

Mini Mexican Quiches
I did a lot of food in miniature this year.

Overnight Coffee Cake
Like eating dessert for breakfast.

Radish Top Soup
My farmer's market adventure forced me to figure out how to use unusual ingredients. Like radish greens. This soup turned out to be really, really, really good. With a name like "radish top soup," I was not expecting that.
