We were able to upload Jessica's pictures to her sister's computers, so I posted a few pictures from the first half of our trip over on our UK blog. Go check them out if you have a chance.

Hello from Edinburgh!
After a cold, wet, and dreary Ireland (which did, nevertheless, have some highlights), Edinburgh turns out to be...well, cold, wet, and a bit less dreary. I'm still looking forward to sunshine, but it's a cool little city. We are staying with Jessica's sister up on "The Mount" by Edinburgh castle, surrounded by old stone buildings and hilly, winding roads. This morning I went out for my first run in several days, ran around the old buildings for awhile, turned a corner, and stumbled upon Holyrood Park, which is the most amazing city park I've ever seen. Like other city parks around here, it was originally set aside as hunting grounds for the wealthy. I think we are going there later today to do a hike (or a walk, as they call it around here), and I'm looking forward to that.

What fun! I enjoyed the pictures of your adventures and look forward to hearing more when you get back. (I especially like the seashell cottage.)
When we were in Ireland, it only rained for like half a day and it was actually pretty nice weather the rest of the time. Sorry you got the rain!!
