Do you see the dancer dancer turning clockwise or counterclockwise?
For the record, if the test actually has any validity whatsoever (and I have my doubts), I am right-brained. This makes sense to me - qualities from both lists can describe me, but I tend to think about myself as more of an idea/feeling person. I've noticed that when I talk about things, I talk about feeling a lot - "I feel like" instead of "I think that". And as much as I try to lay things down logically, in the end my decisions are almost entirely based on how I feel. I don't think this is entirely uncommon, but I do know people who approach things much more logically - to them, in order for a decision to feel right it has to make sense, whereas for me in order for a decision to make perfect sense it also has to feel right.
And once you've figured out whether you're left- or right-brained, the next question is whether you are able to adjust your vision to be able to see the dancer turn the other direction? I had a really, really hard time doing this at first. In fact, for a couple minutes I thought it must be a trick because I couldn't see how the dancer could possibly appear to be turning the other direction - she wasn't turning counterclockwise. Then I scrolled down so that just her foot showed, got myself to see the foot turning the other direction, and slowly scrolled back up.
Anyway, give it a try.

Fascinating! However, I'm not sure how accurate it is. I am probably a left-brained person, but I saw the dancer spin clockwise.
Nice trick by just looking at the foot, by the way. That was the only way I could change my frame of reference.
Interesting. She is spinning clockwise for me. I tried your foot trick and got her foot going the other way, then I scrolled up. She took two turns the other way and then reversed. Thay was the most I could get! I wonder what that means?
Interesting that it says the majority would see her spinning anti-clockwise and yet three of three on your blog and responses so far have seen her spinning clockwise. I'm curious to see how others chime in.
I definitely saw her turning clockwies and then I looked up and she was turning anti-clockwise and I couldn't get her to go clockwise and then it switched again. I think my brain is just a confused mess because it couldn't make up its mind.
Saw it first as counterclockwise, the clockwise the second time without trying. Took me a while to be able to switch back and forth with ease though. I actually got it to the point where I can make her not even turn around, just move her leg in front of her.
I tried it one more time. Now the dancer is turning counterclockwise and I can't get her to turn clockwise. Hmmmm.... There must be more to this!
I open this link in two different browser windows and got her spinning in oposite directions at the same time. I wonder what that means.
I saw counter than clockwise. But reading the description of right vs. left brain, I realized I'm 50/50 on both sides. But I cant get it to go back to counter, the leg thing doesn't even work...maybe the same reason I cant do Magic Eye stuff, IDK.
