And speaking of wireless connections...

Two hours with Linksys tech support (and tech support hold), connecting and reconnecting wires, reconfiguring and re-reconfiguring, changing passwords, changing connection names, and rebooting, all proved worthless. Ten minutes with AT&T and all my work with Linksys was for nought. We didn't even need the router. But we do now have internet access at home. Hooray!

So after a long absence I am back to the blogworld. I have also begun my little two-week odyssey, a rather complicated vacation that I have had to explain every time someone asks me where I am taking off to when school gets out. Part one was a flight to Utah, part two a drive to California, part three a trip to Hawaii, and part four a drive back to Michigan. Part one began disastrously, with a missed connection in Denver. I managed to get put on a new flight; my luggage did not. Thanks to a very patient grandmother and a complimentary Frontier Airlines hygiene kit, I managed to survive the ordeal and make it to all my Provo visits as fresh and well-rested as might be expected given the circumstances.

The brief stop in Utah was a success. I saw Athena and Beth (and baby Alex), I used my mad packing skills to fit all Kelsey's wordly belongings (or at least those traveling to Utah) into the trunk of her car, I networked with the BYU teacher education department, and I drove to Park City to see Eric's summer residence. I played Take 2, tried a Bajio's veggie burrito, had my luggaged delivered to Kelsey's apartment, and got a sunburn on my arms. A full day, but a good one. This morning I woke up at 6:30 on the dot, in spite of several days of minor sleep deprivation and a failed watch alarm, and Kelsey and I left for California around seven.

I'll write more, maybe even tomorrow, but for now I'm just putting my head up, waving, and letting everyone know that I haven't forgotten about my blog. And now I will go to bed and sleep for the first full night this week.
