It's Finished!

Thanks to everyone who wished me luck - the thesis presentation went quite well, and I passed with "flying colors" (and a few revisions, but I don't think anyone ever passes without revisions). My committee was very positive, I only fumbled my words a few times (and was still told that I'd given an excellent presentation), the grad students who came to watch me refrained from asking any questions at the end (at my request), and my family did the wave behind my committee's back to help calm me down.

Maybe I'll write more later, maybe not. Right now I'm going to finish off a rather lovely afternoon of doing absolutely nothing worthwhile by floating boats on the Rock Canyon Park river for FHE and then watching Casablanca for the first time with my roommate.

Until tomorrow.
[breathes sigh of relief and signs off]

Hooray! It's done! I hope you enjoyed the movie, too. It's a good one.

Cogratulations, Leibniz! We knew you would do well, even if you didn't.

Translation!
I think he means to say "We knew you would do well, even if you didn't know that, too." Not "We knew you would do well, even if you didn't do well after all."
